Darren Mercer founded DJI as its Chief Executive in 2007, as a provider of software solutions to the gaming industry, later leading DJI’s acquisition of NewNet in 2009.Since that time, Darren has built a considerable network of political, corporate and lottery contacts, has driven the business and has been responsible for NewNet’s expansion in Beijing and into other provinces.In addition to being responsible for business and corporate development, Darren led the identification and negotiation of the acquisitions proposed in this document. Prior to DJI, Darren spent many years working in the investment banking sector where he achieved considerable success specialising in the gaming and technology sectors in both private equity and publicly listed companies.This period included serving as Director of Institutional Sales at Henry, Cooke Lumsden (now part of Brown Shipley) and then at A Sharp (now Old Mutual).
