The Queensland government said 19 companies have registered to potentially bid for the three licenses it’s offering to develop an integrated casino resort. A total of 12 were bidding for a license available in central Brisbane, including the incumbent Echo Entertainment Group. James Packer’s Crown Resorts Ltd is also interested in a Brisbane license. The others expressed an interest in building elsewhere.
