The number of visitors on package tours to Macau declined by 20.7 percent year-on-year in June, totalling 571,000 according to data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
Package tour visitors from Mainland China, Taiwan and Korea all saw significant decreases in numbers, down 24, 27 and 125.8 percent respectively.
For the first six months of 2016, visitors on package tours totalled 3.4 million, down 31.2 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, a total of 935,000 guests checked into hotels and guesthouses in June 2016, up by 16.5 percent year-on-year. Guests from mainland China (583,000), Hong Kong (145,000) and Taiwan (44,000) registered double-digit growth, at some 17.2 percent, 13 percent and 39.2 percent respectively.
According to the data, average length of stay in June held stable at 1.4 nights as in June 2015.
