No additional casino licenses after 2020, government says

Macau’s Secretary for Economy and Finance Francis Tam Pak Yuen said the government won’t increase the number of casino licenses from the current six concessionaires once they expire in 2020 and 2022. However, he warned that operators will face stricter regulation in the future and said the government still hasn’t decided on the length of the new license period. Casino stocks were rattled recently by reports the government may reduce the timespan of any new licenses.
