The Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and Industry formally launched a new organization called the “Nagasaki Marine IR Council” on Monday, with about thirty members.
The new organization, under the leadership of Kosei Tsuji, is tasked especially with making links between local business enterprises and businesses from outside the region that are interested in the IR development plans at Sasebo’s Huis Ten Bosch.
In November of last year, the Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and Industry encountered a setback when its chairman, Kazuhiko Maeda, who had been leading their IR efforts, died of heart failure.
The man who is now in charge of this policy, Kosei Tsuji, is a vice-chairman of the Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as president of the Nishi Kyushu Warehouse Company.
The Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and Industry first established a special committee on IR development in February 2016.
