Morpheus doubles COD premium mass room capacity

Melco’s new 772-room hotel tower Morpheus will double the number of rooms available for premium mass customers, while increasing room capacity at City of Dreams by 50 percent, said Bernstein in a note on Tuesday.

At the moment, premium mass rooms have largely concentrated at the Grand Hyatt, with NuWa largely catering to VIP customers and the Countdown for cash customers, said the brokerage.

The $1.1 billion hotel tower developed by Melco opened last Friday with 40 gaming tables transferred from other Melco properties.

According to Bernstein, there are 12 VIP tables are in the Liying Club on the 2nd floor, 12 high-end mass tables on the 42nd floor, and 16 premium mass tables on the second floor.
