Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes is looking at tourist markets including the United States and Europe.
The MGTO made the comments to Macau Business on the sidelines of the official opening of the Macau Roosevelt on Wednesday.
The director said that city “needs always to continue to innovate and transform itself and have different products to offer our clients.”
Regarding the new hotel itself, Fernandes lauded the property for for creating a unique offering. “…they really put in the effort to create a different brand in Macau and also, in terms of the details, they worked very hard,” she said.
Regarding the long-awaited Tourism Master Plan, which is yet to be released to the public, Fernandes said the finalized document will ‘definitely’ be available this year.
