Lottoland has been awarded a five-year licence by the Northern Territory Racing Commission, the first of its kind, to offer online betting on the outcomes of state and international lotteries across Australia.
The lottery company also holds online gambling licences from the Government of Gibraltar, and the UK Gambling Commission.
Nigel Birrell, Chief Executive of the privately-owned Lottoland, said: “We are setting the pace, carving out a world-leading position in this new and exciting category of online gaming. Lottoland is well positioned to accelerate its already phenomenal growth through continued product innovation and by expanding its international reach through securing a licence in Australia.”
The Australian business will be headed by Luke Brill, ex Managing Director of Betfred Australia, to be based out of offices in Darwin and Sydney.
