The Gold Coast Ocean Terminal (GCOT) group said it still wants to build a multi-million dollar integrated tourism resort and casino on the Gold Coast, despite the Queensland government’s decision to reject plans for an ocean cruise terminal at the Bilinga site. The rejection followed protests from local communities concerned about the impact on local surf beaches. The company says it will re-submit its proposals without the terminal.
