Gambling tycoon Lui overtakes Li Ka-shing as Asia’s richest man

    Galaxy Entertainment head Lui Che-woo has replaced Hong Kong multi-billionaire Li Ka-shing as Asia’s richest man, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. Lui’s fortune rose $3.5 billion this month to $29.6 billion, beating Li with $29.5 billion. Lui entered the Macau gambling market after it opened up in 2002. The company’s stocks more than doubled last year.
