Landing International Development Limited has announced it has been granted approval from the city council for a new integrated resort in the City of Parañaque, Philippines.
The company had been eyeing a multi-million dollar theme park in the Philippines since September 2017.
At the time, Landing International Development chairman and executive director Yang Zhihui, met with President Rodrigo Duterte and his cabinet team where they discussed the company’s proposal to build an international branded theme park integrated resort in the country.
President Duterte expressed his “keen” interest and support for the company’s proposal, the company said at the time.
According to the most recent filing, Landing’s local subsidiary, Landing Resorts Philippines Development Corporation has been given the all-clear from the City Council to develop the new IR in Entertainment City in Barangay Tambo, in Parañaque.
The resort and casino will be built on a parcel of land with approximately 95,700 sqm, having a planned construction floor area of approximately 500,000 sqm , and will feature, among others, a casino, a Filipino cultural theme park, an indoor waterpark, an indoor movie-based theme park, a convention centre, luxury hotels, retail and dining areas, and other commercial and entertainment facilities.
However, the group is still in the process of applying for other approvals required to develop and operate the Integrated Resort.
Landing International also operates an integrated resort in South Korea – Jeju Shinhwa World, which officially opened on March 23, 2018.
