China gaming revenue may double in three years

    China’s video game industry saw a 38 percent rise in revenues last year to hit nearly $14 billion, according to China Games Party, which follows the country’s gaming industry. Client-based PC games earned $8.87 billion, browser games earned $2.11 billion and mobile games pulled in just $89.39 million. The report forecast the market will almost double to $22.34 billion by 2017, with a projected annual growth rate of 12.4 percent.
