Casino worker demand to jump by 38 percent by 2017

According to investment bank Morgan Stanley, Macau’s casinos will need 38 percent more workers by 2017 as new Cotai resorts come online. The bank said there is only likely to be supply of some 700 local higher-education graduates joining the industry, with a further 1,900 locals that may be able to transfer into the sector. That still leaves a shortfall of about 13,800 employees, it said.
