Casino dealer crime rises in 2013; embezzlement tops illegal actions

    Embezzlement was the fastest growing crime among casino employees last year, with an increase of 267 percent to 33 from the prior year, according to media reports citing the Judiciary Police. Altogether, the number of crimes committed by casino dealers last year rose by 85 percent compared to 2012. The number of overall cases of crime involving all categories of casino workers was up by 34 percent to 75 cases, the reports said. Cases of theft and misappropriation rose by 9 and 33 percent respectively.
