Assembly to debate full smoking ban in casinos

    Macau’s Legislative Assembly is expected to debate a implementing a full smoking ban in casinos next month, according to reports. Assembly member Ella Lei Cheng I, who tabled the motion, said that the partial smoking ban implemented last year was unsatisfactory. She said supervision had been lax and conditions for casino employees has not improved. Smoking is currently permitted in areas occupying no more than half the floor space of the gaming venues.
