AGE attracts 171 exhibitors for silver anniversary show

Organizers for The Australian Gaming Exhibition say the show has attracted more interest than ever this year, with 171 companies registered and with 34 of those attending for the first time.
The Expo is now in its 25th year and is one of the biggest trade shows in Australia. The event is 98.5 percent sold out and covers about 7,317 square metres (78,760 square feet). Running from August 12th to 14th, the AGE has moved to the new Sydney Exhibition Centre on Glebe Island.
“The big talking point this year is the venue,” said Ross Ferrar, CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association,. “The new venue means a whole new approach from the major exhibitors, with newly-designed stands taking full advantage of the opportunity to best use the new space.”
Australia’s gambling industry is dominated by its “pokie machine” industry, so some of the world’s most prominent suppliers, such as Ainsworth, Aristocrat, Aruze, Bally, IGT, Konami and WMS Gaming will be present at the show.
Also on exhibition will be audio visual equipment, ATM equipment, building services, cash handling & equipment, through to furniture, I.T. and interior design.
Last year more than 2,300 visitors attended each of the first two days.
